Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.0) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux Recently I had to change one of my kppp account's password to a new one. I used a password wich contained the character '='. After that change, the authentication was failing ... I had to edit by hand the kppprc and put a backslash ('\') in front of the '=' character in order for the authentication to be successful. Apparently the kppprc parsing gets confused by the existence of the second '=' in the Passord= line. I think that the gui should check for such confusing characters when entering a password for an account and qute them accordingly. Thanks.
After having successfully used once the kppp application, I noticed that the single backslash I had put manually in the Password line, was prepented by another backslash ... like this: Password=xxx\=yyy9 became Password=xxx\\=yyy9 But I still can sucessfully connect ... ;-)
