Version: 0.8.1 (using KDE KDE 3.2.1) Installed from: SuSE RPMs My parents live in Nova Scotia, and I in British Columbia. Recently my father purchase a mic and camera for his Windows Box. I also went out and purchase a set. It works great over MSN on my Windows Box. The grandkids can now see their long distance Grandparents on a daily basis. I have just built my first Linux Box. Suse9.1. I'm learning quite fast and find Suse to be a great O/S. KDE has been fun and challenging to learn aswell. What I would love to see in Kopete is the ablity to share audio and video. This would take me one step closer to saying good bye to Microsft. Thanks for your time. Yours, Ron Laidlaw
It already exists, using the GnomeMeeting plugin. Please update to the latest version of kopete.
While the gnomemeeting plugin can be used, it's not very useful. Native support for whatever protocol MSN (i'm assuming MSN here) uses for audio and video (i think it's SIP now) would be useful.
Thanks for your comments. I'll try the GnomeMeeting pluggin. You never know! Yes it is MSN, and I won't hold my breath waiting for native support.
