Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.0) Compiler: gcc 3.3.4 OS: Linux It would be nice to be able to have a drop-down list of available CD-ROM devices somewhere in the main GUI if more than one CD-ROM drive is available. At this time, people with two or more CD-ROM drives (e.g. a CD-recorder and regular CD-ROM drive) who don't always want to use the same drive to play audio CDs have to go through the configuration dialog each time they want to use another drive, which is inconvenient. Note that often only one of the CD-ROM drives can be connected to the sound card via analog cable, so usually digital playback must be used for some drives when there is more than one CD-ROM drive on a machine.
This is a wish being quite astonished not being resolved since its has been posted 2 years ago. It should be quite simple to move the combo box from the configuration dialog to the Kscd main window. It bothers me all the time (The MS Windows CD player has this feature since 98).
kscd is no longer maintained, please switch to an alternative application.
