Can we PLEASE have a WORKING Ignore function for the Yahoo Protocol plugin? As it stands right now, the Ignore only works until the annoying person messages you again. I'd LIKE to have an Ignore that works permanently.

If you mean saying Ignore when the 'bubble' pops up, that's not
Yahoo-specific. It sounds like what you want is not an Ignore (this message),
it's a Blacklist (this user). Can you please confirm this is what you mean,
or clarify?

Thanks,
Richard

Maybe the "Ignore button" should be renamed to "Don't Chat" or "No Chat" or similar.

Further I think there is a demand for my spam plugin as proposed at kopete-devel.

"Discard"?

Comment 4 Nicholas Pilon 2004-10-05 01:54:56 UTC
Discard sounds much more descriptive. "Ignore" is almost always used in IM programs to mean "block user" not "ignore message".
Comment 5 Matt Rogers 2004-10-05 05:30:19 UTC
I refuse to take requests from people who yell at me in their bug reports. Also, if when you say "Ignore" you mean blacklist, then there's already another bug for this, although i don't remember what the bug number is for it.
Comment 6 Mike Chaney 2004-10-05 06:48:32 UTC
Yes Richard, that's EXACTLY what I mean. I'm sick and tired of getting slammed by 20-30 people a night messaging me over and over again when they won't take a hint... Can this PLEASE be added?

Thank you.

Why is this bug marked "RESOLVED WONTFIX"? The "blacklist" shouldn't be THAT hard to add. Wish I knew more about programming.

That's perfekt!

Yeah I just wanted to request that. It's pretty anoying that you can't block people for good.We definitely need an ignore list like in irc.
