Description Diederik van der Boor 2004-09-24 14:01:26 UTC
Version: 3.3 (using KDE 3.3.0, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 20040412 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.3-r6, ssp-3.3.2-2, pie-8.7.6)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.7-gentoo-r11

I was wondering, isn't it possible to show a message/overlay in the main window giving a status indication while the stylesheet is being parsed? The parsing takes ages at my AMD1800, and it took a while before I noticed the status bar message.

For a design, I was thinking about an 'searching' icon/animation with a large bold title next to it. ("Loading help file..") Below the large caption, the message "The stylesheet is being applied" displays, perhaps with a progress bar/line too if this is possible.

Thanks in advice.

The way-too-subtle progress indication is confusing indeed. It seems that nothing happens when you try to access documentation.

By the way, I guess this is a dupe of Bug 90171..
