Description Richard Taylor 2004-09-22 19:34:44 UTC
Version: 0.7.0-cvs (using KDE 3.3.0, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 20040412 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.3-r6, ssp-3.3.2-2, pie-8.7.6)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.8-gentoo-r3

I oftern find that I want to know the pathname to a photo so that I can use it on the command line. This may be because I want to manually open the gimp on the file or run some ImageMagik commands by hand.

It would be nice if the context menu for an image included a "Copy Location" option that copied the pathname of the photo to the clip board.

the right click menu is already pretty full and it doesn't make sense to add more options to it. a reasonable workaround is, if you are using konsole, drag and drop the image onto the konsole and click paste in the popupmenu which appears. voila, you have the image path on the konsole.

Yeah, right click menu is ready too crowed. But there are other more
'standard' ways:
Why not support the crtl-c, ctrl-V. Select an image ctrl-V and ctrl-p it
whereever you like. Works with konqueror (and in windows) as source.
please inplement cut aka ctrl-x only if one case paste image back ;)

I'd like to see a copy and paste function too. So I can create a new folder e.g. cd burning and select the images i'd like to burn on cd and put a copy of them in the new folder. Also it would be very easy to select Pictures for grandma and grandpa and burn them on a cd.
