Version: 1.7 (using KDE 3.3.0, Gentoo) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 20040623 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.4-r1, ssp-3.3.2-2, pie-8.7.6) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.8-gentoo-r3 I'm using kmail with IMAP-accounts. If it matters, the connections is SSL-encrypted, and PLAIN passwords are used as authentication. I can create IMAP-folders, but I cant delete them. When I try to delete an IMAP folder, I get this: The folder dissapears from the list. After some seconds this pops up: Error while removing a folder. Could Not Remove Folder An attempt to remove the specified folder, newimaps://<user>%40<mailserver.com>@<mailserver.com>:993/INBOX.<folder>/, failed. Using Thunderbird to remove the folder works like charm.
Do you know which imap mail server software is used? Do you use a prefix for imap folders?
Interesting bug, but no response from reporter.
I'm running courier-imap. I don't know what you mean by prefix. But when listing the contents of my maildir, they look like this: drwx------ 5 vvizard wheel 512 Dec 22 17:32 .Drafts/ drwx------ 5 vvizard wheel 512 Mar 11 13:33 .Sent/ drwx------ 5 vvizard wheel 512 Mar 19 15:05 .Trash/ drwx------ 5 vvizard wheel 512 Mar 19 15:05 .etc If that helps.. This bug still exists on KDE-3.4, while thunderbird manage to delete the folders fine.
Is it possible to get an etheral log from the communication with this server when you try to delete the folder? Provided that the encryption is not encrypted.
I guess you mean if the "connection is not encrypted"? It is SSL-encrypted :/
What a pitty. I suggest upgrading to 3.4.1 and see if the problem persists. You could also compile the imap4 kioslave (kdepim/kioslaves/imap4) with enabled debug and see what is says in the logfile.
No report from the reporter anymore.
