Version: (using KDE Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources Feature Request by Gene Heskett: Because of the way threading is handled, its generally impossible to do the web page equivalent of the back button when scanning new messages with the right arrow. I'd really, really like to see a back button that kept a history of the last 8 to 10 emails looked at, making it much easier to backup and see what the other party said when there is a discussion going on. Do that 'back' list on a per mail folder of course :)
I also would like to see this feature. My use case: When quickly scanning through lists of new mails it sometimes happens that I realize too late (when I already have gone to another new mail) that I would like to have a closer look at some mail in a previous thread. This mail can be at a completely different place in the message list because of threading, so it can be very hard to find it again. A "back" button would solve this problem.
I am feeling bad about undo being somewhat broken in KMail. And was thinking if I ever get around to looking into that then it might be nice to extend the undo system so that as well as undoing deletes it could also undo reading messages (and status changes in general). Don.
