it would be great if we could have certain notes hovering just on the edge of the screen with just the title of the note showing.  That way, commonly used notes are always up and easy to find.  When the title is clicked (or hovered over) the note would spring onto the desktop from the side ready for editing.

Anything to make it easier to re-use certain notes over a long period of time.

Macintosh used to do something similar with tree-views of the file system.  You could collapse a window showing files in a particular directory into a tab on the edge of a screen.  Clicking that tab would pull the tree view (like a panel) onto the screen.
