Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.3) Installed from: Mandrake RPMs OS: Linux The problem in configuration of Mailclients is, that the configuration is not easy for the common user; this unfortunately makes the users use web interfaces of the providers instead of reasonable clients like kmail :( . Also system administrators have the problem to get the desired information. So I had the following idea: * Let's collect the needed data somewhere * Let's include the current database entries in every kmail release * Let's include the file in the config wizard * Let's include the possibility to get the current database entries online directly from within the configuration wizard * Now: The user could enter his mailaddress in the first wizard dialog. The wizard could extract the provider (maybe @gmx.net or @web.de) from the entered mail address and now set the outgoing and incoming servers and the needed encryption methods. This would be a really great thing.
