Version: 3.3 (using KDE 3.3.0, compiled sources) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 20040623 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.4-r1, ssp-3.3.2-2, pie-8.7.6) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.7-gentoo-r14 One relation of me does not like to get GPG signed messages as he's using a very old mailer. So I configured 'never sign messages for this contact' in the addressbook. But KMail still enables gpg-signing by default (which is my configured default).
KMail seems not to take care about the settings in kaddressbook, that has to be fixed in messagecomposer.cpp I guess.
Is this still valid for KDE 3.4 and kmail 1.8?
Still present, in new messages and also in replies using 1.10.1 (svn trunk 857915)
Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
I can confirm this bug is still valid on KMail 2 (4.14.10). Please reassign.
Tested with Kmail 23.08 and the bug doesn't appear to exist anymore. - Create contact with preference to never sign - Configure Kmail to automatically sign - compose message to the contact - KMail warn about the contact not wanting sign emails and ask for explicit confirmation whether to sign or not
