Description Mark Veltzer 2004-09-07 16:38:21 UTC
Version: 0.6 (using KDE 3.3.0, (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 (Debian 1:3.3.4-9)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21

I want to have an "Edit/Search" option to search for a certain menu item. This is very usefull especially in todays distribution where I know that I installed something and I know that it probably has a menu item somewhere but I have absolutely no idea where that menu item is. The idea is for the user to insert a string (regexp) and just have kmenuedit iterate all the menu items and checks for matching.

BTW: there is another application which is called "Menu Updating Tool" which is very usefull but it looks like it's functionality could easily reside inside "KMenuEdit" and save the extra application... Maybe this warrents a name change from "KMenuEdit" To "KMenuManager" or whatever...

Thanks

Thianks
