Description sbalk 2004-09-06 11:04:46 UTC
Version: cvs (using KDE KDE 3.3.0)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

As described in this thread: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_id=5473014&forum_id=35249
it occured that somebody deleted his whole photo archive while thinking he was deleting the placeholder (the album). He was probably thinking he was making the album category 'unknown'. My wish is that the popup should warn that all pictures are going to be deleted.

another wish is, related to the one before, to move the deleted items to the kde trashcan instead of deleting it forever. Ofcourse this should be optional, is an optionbox on a popup an good idea?

implemented in cvs: there are two options - trash a file/folder or actually delete the file/folder, with the default being trash. also, if folders have subfolders, the user is doubly warned with the number of subfolders.

This problem is relevant of digiKam trash files management. Since 5.0.0 we use an internal solution instead the desktop trash. It will never reproducible.
