Version: 1.7 (using KDE 3.3.0, compiled sources) Compiler: gcc version 3.2.2 20030222 (Red Hat Linux 3.2.2-5) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.26-01-NeTraverse-i686-SMP-64GB I use sort discussion view in list of messages. If subject with icon (first column with discuss indent) is visible, darg-n-drop to othe folder work correct. But if first column widh is too small to show indented subject, DnD doesn't work at all (under mouse pointer dosn't appear icon with @ sign.
Could you supply a step-by-step manual how we can reproduce it and could you include some screenshots to make the problem even more clearer?
unconfirmed.
Created attachment 7391 [details] message list with deep discussion There is example message list with deep discussion (Folder-Thread Messages). Look at the selected message - it can DnD. Next message can not because thread text doesn't shown.
But you can start the drag from the date field or the sender field. You do not need the "subject" to be visible to begin dragging...
Unfortunately, drag only from *Sender* field doesn't work, but drag from Date or Size fields works correct. :(
I can not reproduce.
I understand how it can be reproduced. Line cannot be dragged, if you click at left of line content (text or icon at right of plus sign) even text in next column overlap this position. Look at the scheme (second line is actial view, third line is first column without overlap other columns: Subject |Sender |Date Somebody Today + Message_subject In this case you can drag message ONLY if clicked at 'e' from "Somebody" word at second column (or any other place at right). If you click even on the "Som" (over hidden expand/collapse sign), dragging will not works. :(
Ah, now I can confirm.Steps to reproduce: 1. take a thread with some discussion in there and expand it 2. reduce the dirst column (subject) to a width of 0 pixels 3. try to drag a message within the thread starting on the first few pixels of the message. 4. You see you can not start the drag on the left 3 or 4 characters of the senders name.
works in KDE 4.3
