Description Werner Dettmann 2004-08-12 01:16:50 UTC
Version: 3.2.3 (using KDE 3.2.3, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 20040412 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.3-r6, ssp-3.3.2-2, pie-8.7.6)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.7-gentoo-r13

I want to print a page to a hylafax/cups-server, but konqueror dies with the print-progress window showing up. After that, nothing happens. The Progress-Window stays on top and can't be closed, the konqueror-window doesn't redraw.

When I select another printer on the same cups-server, everything works fine.

When I use Mozilla and kprinter I can print the same page to the hylafax/cups-server perfectly well.

Kword also works.

Hi,

I can confirm this problem on SuSE 9.3 Pro + KDE 3.5.0. If I try to print e.g. the site http://lokalisointi.org/sanakirja/kaikki.html, Konqueror dies with the print-progress window showing up and must be killed. All other programs using the CUPS-server (OOo, Firefox, Opera [both configured to use kprinter], KMail...) work just fine.

BTW, I have a not very positive general feeling, that Konqueror 3.5.0 is far less stable and fas less useful than was the version 3.4.x... With 3.5.0 I have encountered (and reported) several severe problems I have never encountered before.

Kind regards,
Kimmo
