Description Sebastian 2004-08-06 08:50:50 UTC
Version: 3.2.2 (using KDE 3.2.2, SuSE)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-215-default

In file manager mode konqueror uses the icon of the currently highlighted file as an application icon. I guess some people find this usefull, otherwise nobody would have gone to the trouble of implementing it. I must say that I find this somewhat annoying as I cannot quickly pick konqueror in a list of open windows (e.g. the task bar) any more. It has some (sort of random, depending on what I selected last; I might not remember) icon and the window's name starts with "file:/home/..." (which is also true for e.g. kdvi. I think there should be an option to set the icon in file manager mode to a fixed value.

The "icon" behaviour is still valid in KDE 4, but it looks the wanted behaviour. About the path, now it is displayed only the name of the current dir (it already exists a wish which requests to add the full path on the window title).
