Description Rutger ter Borg 2004-08-04 17:29:12 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.3)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc (GCC) 3.3.3 Gentoo Linux 3.3.3-r6, ssp-3.3.2-2, pie-8.7.6
OS: Linux

The name of the sender is displayed in two ways in the list of emails if it contains a comma. This only occurs when using my IMAP account, which is courier-imap in this case. Suppose a mail is sent from

"Test,Test" <test@test.com>

it will be displayed correctly in the mail list if not active, i.e. as "Test,Test" However, if I click once on the name to view the mail, it will be displayed as

"Test, Test"

(note the added space). If I click the name once more (for the second time), its display is reverted to the correct situation.

Steps to reproduce:

1. use an IMAP account
2. click email with comma in From: name field, space gets added
3. click again (not double click), space disappears again

Expected behaviour:

No added or disappearing spaces.
