Version: 0.5 (using KDE 3.2.1, SuSE) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 (SuSE Linux) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.5-7.95-smp When I add a new item to a menu in kde menu editor, save the changes made and quit the editor the item is in the k menu but when the editor is opened again there are no items in the sub menu that the new item was added to.
I have seen similar. What's shown in the menu editor, does not reflect all that's availble from the menu. For example, the kmenu lists several items under "Internet", but when I try to access them, the kmenu editor does not show anything in the "Internet" sub menu. This is on SuSE 9.1.
I've experienced the same problem. After adding items to the menu sections I can no longer expand the sections even though they have a plus sign beside it. So once edited, I can't go back and edit it again either the menu or any new item added. I'm also using SuSE 9.1 Dennis
I'm having the same problem also on SuSE 9.1 with exactly the same symptoms as described above. However I have only recently seen this behaviour since patching the system online. I don't recall having these problems when I first installed from the boxed release DVD. Deleting the '~/.config/menus/applications-kmenuedit.menu' file means kmenuedit works properly again, but at the price of losing all my menu amendments.

My story is exactly the same as above -> Suse 9.1 with patches installed. I did not try the menu editor before installing the patches.
The item shows resolved, but what was the resolution???? I have exactly the same problem too. jim
I've got the same problem, Jason
