Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.3) Installed from: Gentoo Packages When Konqueror (in web browser mode) uses the default starting page (the info page), the location bar gets the focus when the program starts. That's good, because the user (me) probably wants to write something there. I've made a new starting page containing links I use often. But now the locations bar doesn't get the focus anymore. That's quite annoying, and I don't see why this situation should be any different from the one mentioned above.
It is different. If the user sets his own starting page, he might want to scroll with up/down/left/ or use other keys in the page, which is rather unlikely with the konqueror info page. If we focus the location bar this is not possible.
My personal opinion is that it's not really a bug. e.g. google.com as start page, it's good to have focus to search field. getting focus to location is a easy as a Ctrl+L.
www.google.com is special, it has javascript commands to grap focus.
Please, would you like to check the bug using a more recent KDE version like 4.3 or trunk? Many thanks.

As I don't use Konqueror for web browsing any more, I don't really have skin in the game.
Thanks for the update!
