Description Rudolf Kollien 2004-07-08 17:35:16 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.3)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

I would be very nice to have a context menu option for saving attachments "as they are", f.e. "Save as binary". Sometimes attachements are interpreted as the wrong file type. This problem is not only related to kmail. See Bug 84654.

So it would be a great feature to save attachments unconverted. Another posible solution would be to change the type of the attachment in a received email. Not only when composing mails. So "Save" would do the job (when the mime type is reread BEFORE saving :-) )

Considering this a duplicate. Using file-magic on attachments should solve the problem worked around here too, right?
