Description Daniel Flinkmann 2004-07-07 15:21:55 UTC
Version: 0.8.2 (using KDE KDE 3.2.3)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
Compiler: 3.3.4
OS: Linux

I believe this would produce much work for the developers, but it would be a great feature, if it would be possible to add an IRC Channel to the Userslist, like a standard ICQ, AIM, etc. User.

Why?

If there is traffic on the channel, the User #channelxyz can pop up like a user is query yourself.

This helps to remove many channels out of the chat-window, if these channels traffic is idling very much.

If it's a bit unclear, please contact me.

Thanks,

Daniel

?

You can already do this. You've been able to do it since Kopete 0.7.

But it does not behave like you describe, nor will it. Closing a channel window parts the channel. If you want to remain joined in channels you are not actively participating in, you should consider a bouncer like psyBNC.
