Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.3) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages Kasbar loose icons. Typicaly i have 5 apps running. But kasbar only shows 3 or 4. Currently it shows 0 icons. Please fix that. It such a nice application
I think kasbar is lossing icons anymore. Should we cloose this bug?
Since there is this open bug I'll just add my 2 cents here instead of opening a new one. KDE 3.5.7 on gentoo here. In my case kasbar looses some icons every now and then. It happens consistently when I start a new application, sometimes it is the new app that doesn't show, other times it does, but another icon (the last one) disappears. The first case seems related to normal applications, the second one seems related to applications that show in the tray. If I hit the kasbar refresh everything shows again happily.
I have found the reason for the above behaviour and I have a patch that apparently solves the problem. Should I add it here or leave alone this bug and open another one plus post the patch?
Please add the patch here. Thanks Rich. On 2 Aug 2007 00:50:40 -0000, subscryer@gmail.com <subscryer@gmail.com> wrote: [bugs.kde.org quoted mail]
Created attachment 21321 [details] This patch corrects the bug for me A missing IF would cause the deletion of the last item in kasbar if "enable startup notifier" was disabled.
The patch can still be applied successfully on 3.5.8, haven't tried 3.5.9 but it should work too. Should 3.5.10 be released it would be nice to have this patch in it.
Kasbar is no more developed and it will not be ported on KDE4. Kasbar bugs are being closed as "UNMANTAINED". For specific kasbar feature which doesn't exists in the new KDE4 please open a new wish for KDE4. :-) Many thanks.
