Please show if any new (unread) email from one of contact email-addresses is in any kmail folder.

Add the possibility to open a new message from and to contact through kopete.

This is really a nice idea.
Some protocols do not support sending users who are offline a message. This way it'd be possible to make it automatic, so if a user is offline, it'll send the message through email.
I am not sure what the subject line would be, IMs don't have subject lines.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
