Description Artemio 2004-06-28 20:53:21 UTC
Version: 1.6.2 (using KDE KDE 3.2.3)
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 (Mandrake Linux 10.0 3.3.2-6mdk)
OS: Linux

I used to use a KOI-8U locale, but now I switched to UTF-8.

If a message has content encoded with 7bit or 8bit, KMail shows the subject line and the message body normally. However, if the message is encoded with "quoted-printable", all cyrillic characters in the subject turn into bricks, but the body shows up ok.

I will attach a screenshot.

Sorry for being an itch, but I see that there shouldn't be a problem with fixing this. Since Kmail pre-fetches the headers in pop filter, it should see the original encoding in "Content-Type". And showing the normally-decoded subject in message viewer is even easier since the message is alredy downloaded.
