Description Dhraak 2004-06-23 05:48:46 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.2)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

I would like to see an option in KDE for OS/2 style mouse button usage.

The way OS/2 used the left and right mouse buttons:
right: context menu, if clicked and released. drag, if clicked and moved
left: highlighting and doubleclicking

example: left-click on an item and move the mouse pointer over other items to select the items over which the mouse moves.

This makes it easier to select multiple items without having to repeatedly use shift+click or ctrl+click. It also means that the items do not have to be in a neat rectangle for box selection, although this method would still be available.

Items do now have a little icon that can be clicked to mark them.
