Description Mark Szentes-Wanner 2004-06-19 13:54:07 UTC
Version: 1.6.2 (using KDE 3.2.2, (testing/unstable))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 (Debian 20040401)
OS: Linux (ppc) release 2.6.6-powerpc

Hello.

My system clock had indeliberately been set to a past date (1 day off). When fetching new mails via POP3 and with incorrect system time, KMail fetched some new mails and all mails in the folder where the new mails went into almost all mails got the status "unread" and lost all other status info such as replied to, forwarded, important, etc.

Those mails in the specific folder that did not get set "unread" kept their status information. Those "unread" mails have an arrival date of some 2,5 months back, the unaffected mails have an arrival date prior to that.

Restarting KMail did not help, the status information is gone for ever.

Mark

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
