Description Daniel Drake 2004-06-15 23:05:22 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.2)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: GCC 3.4.0
OS: Linux

When initially configuring KMail, I gave it the details of my local Secure IMAP server - I told it to connect over port 993, using SSL for secure mail download.
After applying settings, and even restarting Kmail, I was confused why none of my mail or folders was showing up under the account I'd just created. I eventually realised that it was probably because I had compiled kdelibs without SSL support. After recompiling kdelibs, all my mail appeared :)

So, my request is that you shouldn't be able to choose to use SSL (and maybe even TLS?) for secure mail download when kdelibs was compiled without ssl. This would have cleared up some confusion on my part in this situation :)

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
