Version: konqueror 3.2.2 (using KDE KDE 3.2.2) Installed from: Mandrake RPMs Compiler: gcc (GCC) 3.3.2 (Mandrake Linux 10.0 3.3.2-6mdk) OS: Linux Im using mandrake 10.0 official with kde3.2.2 I put Mozilla-Firefox as the default browser in the kde control center text/html associations. So, when in konqueror (web) is impossible to naviagate, cause when simply a link is clicked, instead of continuing/navigating in konqueror, it opens other browser, in this case the default as i said and put is Firefox. How can this be fixed?
you asked konqueror to open firefox for text/html, so what did you expect? In KDE 3.3 it's possible to define a default browser, which is what you really want

And i expect that in kde3.3 i hope to have options to have other default browser than konqueror!
I think I have a similar or the same problem. My configuration: Version: konqueror 3.3.2 (using KDE KDE 3.3.2) Installed from: FreeBSD Ports Compiler: gcc (GCC) 3.4.2 OS: FreeBSD I openned Konqueror: Settings Menu -> Configure Konqueror Menu Item -> Select "File Assotiations" on the left list -> select text-html type -> Add Firefox using Add Button -> click OK. I saw that Konqueror updated its configuration. I opened a new Konqueror window (Home). Click on file with html extension. Konqueror used the same window to open the document in Konqueror web browser. I expect Firefox to be openned.
