pleas close this bug if the kmail people has no power over this, or if there is a risk that my installation is erratic.

when using Ägypten 2 openPGP plugin, de default encryption is 3des (tripple des). it is not configurable to select key length, and there is no support for AES.
i would like to see AES as possible symmetric encryption and selectabel AES-keylength.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
