Version: unknown (using KDE 3.2 BRANCH >= 20040204, Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 (Mandrake Linux 10.0 3.3.2-6mdk) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.3-7mdk In Kontact, switch to the mail view and go to Settings->Notifications. click "more options" and check "show a message in a pop-up window" and "use a passive window that does not interrupt other work". Now wait for new mail to arrive. when new mail arrives, the message dialog has the title "KMail" and not "Kontact".
Is this a WONTFIX? Since new mail is reported by kmail it seems ok that kmail is used as title for the message. If not, there would have to be a possibility for kmail to recognise whether it is used embeddedly and then send "kontact" instead of its own name.
This is still reproducable in svn trunk r865463, although it is very very minor issue imho.
This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present? If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kontact (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
