Description mhearne808 2004-06-05 22:49:01 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.2)
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
Compiler: gcc 3.3.3
OS: Linux

When trying to assign a multi-key shortcut to an application (Konqueror, terminal), or an action (minimizing all windows), I cannot get the Windows key to be accepted with any other key. For example, (using the Menu Editor) I'd like to assign Konqueror to "Win+K", but when I hold down the Windows key and the 'K' key at the same time, the result is 'K,'.

By comparison, Ctrl-K and Alt-K work fine.

I get the same behavior when trying the same thing through the Control Center->Regional & Accessibility->Keyboard Shortcuts.

This worked on my previous version of KDE (whatever shipped with RH9).

I am running:
KDE: KDE 3.2.2-6 Red Hat
Distribution: Fedora Core 2
Kernel: 2.6.5-1.358
Hardware: Dell Inspiron 600m laptop

If I knew where the shortcut information was stored, I would be willing to edit that information manually.

Please let me know if I need to supply more information.
