Version: 1.6.2 (using KDE KDE 3.2.2) Installed from: SuSE RPMs OS: Linux HTML status bar is enabled and main window is split into upper message list and lower preview window. When opening a mail, the preview window grows automatically. A manually resizing of the split windows is not possible.
I cannot reproduce this at all. The different parts can all be resized. Is this with every (html?)-message? Could you provide an example message, screenshots or maybe a step by step manual how to reproduce this?
It looks like the problem is due to my limited screen size of 12" only with a 800x600 resolution. So my split windows are pretty small. Here a short step-by-step description of the szenario : 1. I enable the "HTML Status Bar" checkbox in KMail Properties -> Layout 2. I open a mail by selecting it in the upper message list window. 3. The lower preview window will grow up automatically until the full text "HTML Message" or "No HTML" Message" is visible in the lefthand vertical status bar. 4. Now I try to resize the split window vertically by dragging the separation line between the 2 windows to the bottom. 5. This resizing is blocked by the HTML status bar. The minimal possible vertical size of the preview window is limited by the size of the status bar i.e. by the size of it's text string.
I can reproduce the same error. kmail 1.6.2 kde 3.2.3 Debian unstable Linux (i686) release 2.4.18-686 resolution 1024 x 768 when html status bar is enablet. the rezising of the attachment view, can only be sized from zero up till i hit the last letter in the status bar. if i pull further up the curser moves, but the frame edge does not follow. Before i reach the top of the letter view frame, then the atttachment view takes a jump and fils the entire view, covering the letter view.
