Description Sebastien 2004-06-03 19:46:00 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.1)
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs

I have a lot of songs in my jukebox.
Some I love, some less...

Because they are numerous, it's impossible to remember all [song names, if I like it or not] !
And I sometimes (50% ?) even don't remember if I like those obscure named album...

So, I would want to be able to rate all the songs (or also by albums/artists/playlist to rate several songs at a time, if possible (select multiple songs and rate them all)).

I see a new JuK column : ratting.
It would display five stars (configurable number ? if you want), with brightness x firsts that show the rate :

----- : I don't like the song at all (to delete, etc...)
*---- : Not my favorite (but when I'm bored of all my favorite songs I can hear it :-D )
**--- : I like it, but just less than average
***-- : [Default] I like it averagly
****- : I love it
***** : I'm crazy of it :-)

Possibly clicking an icon will directly change the ratting level (or the "degree of favoritism") directly...

So, I could have new auto generated playlist with, or advanced filtering like :
- Equals or more than ***--
- Just ***--
- Equals or less than ***--
- ...
(or symplier : do this by sorting the column (programation free ;-) )).

What about that ?
It would help me to manage my collection and then quikly be able to see all my favorrite songs and eliminate the songs I like less in my albums...

I think Apple has this and I think it would be very useful !
