Description Krystof Zacek 2004-05-19 14:32:22 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.2)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

Since konqueror (both browser and filemanager) always changes taskbar icon for different locations it is hard to find it in the taskbar or when Alt-tabing through windows.

Example: after I open pdf file from Konqueror, I have two indistiguishable PDF icons in the taskbar (one for Acroread, another for Konqueror).
The same applies to websites. IMO there is no reason to change taskbar icons for different sites to distinguish between them - one can open all sites in one Konqueror windows with multiple tabs. Tabs can than be distinguished by site icons (ironically, tab site icons can be turned off).

I consider this as a heavy blow to KDE usability, especially annoying when more windows are open and quick intuitive orientation is desired.

Please, make this icon changing and option, and IMO it should by default be turned off.

My best regards, ZACK
