Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.2) Installed from: Gentoo Packages I would like an ability to specify default message encoding on a per-recipient basis. I.e., there should be a "prefered encoding" field added to kaddressbook, and then kmail should consult with that field when a message is sent to that recipient and set the encoding to whichever one is chosen (a "use default" option should, of course, also be a choice in that field). The reason for such a request is that in some cases (in particular for GPG encrypted messages) I need to send mail in windows-1251 encoding, but in others I'd prefer for it to be koi8-r. Alternatively, to fix just the particular problem that I have, a setting could be added to kmail itself where one could choose in which encoding GPG encrypted messages should be sent.
Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented. Thank you for your understanding.
Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
