Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.2) Installed from: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux There is one thing I'm missing on KDE's desktop. Custom or advanced sorting-order. I'd better explain what I mean by that (-: I find the sorting of folders first and the rest (including devices) by name rather annoying, so I'd like too to set a priority for icons/files on the desktop they'd be sorted after. If I wanted the sort-order to be: Devices, folders, images, audio, videos and others I'd set: Devices = 1 Folders = 2 Images = 3 Audio = 4 Videos = 5 Others = 6
cool idea.

I don't think this idea has much to do with #86081 and #63866
This wish is related to #93665. That bug is also about sorting icons depending on what they point to.
kdesktop is dead ;-)
This is possible with Plasma on KDE 4 (using multiple folder views).
