Description Marco Avidano 2004-05-13 12:58:14 UTC
Version: Qt: 3.2.2 KDE: 3.2.2 KWin: 3.0 (using KDE KDE 3.2.2KDE 1.2)
Installed from: Compiled From SourcesCompiled From Sources
Compiler: posix gcc version 3.2.2 ../gcc-3.2.2/configure --prefix=/usr --enable-shared --enable-threads=posix --enable-__cxa_atexit --disable-checking --with-gnu-ld --verbose --target=i386-slackware-linux --host=i386-slackware-linux Thread model: posix gcc version 3.2.2
OS: Linux

I notice this strange behaviour: when I close an application (it happens with nearly every application) KDE becomes slower and slower, Cpu amd memory usage grown up for kwin process, mouse pointer moves in jerks, and disk usage grown up too.
I try to strace the kde session but I cannot find anything. I've also upgrade X to 4.4.0 version, but I have always this problem. I've also tryed both kernel 2.4.x and 2.6.x witout solving this problem.
I notice this problem since I upgrade from KDE 3.1.x to KDE 3.2.x
