Description Fabio Congiu 2004-05-04 13:05:37 UTC
Version:           2.1.4 (using KDE 3.2 BRANCH >= 20040204, Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 (Mandrake Linux 10.0 3.3.2-6mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.3-4mdk

When kppp is in use i can't start many programs.
Home directory freeze. Impossible to save files in konqueror (this causes crash).
Comment 1 Harri Porten 2004-05-04 13:15:46 UTC
Do you have the "Auto-configure hostname from this IP" option set? If yes,
try one run without.

Do you get a backtrace from the Konqueror trash? Please post it here.

Comment 2 Fabio Congiu 2004-05-04 17:54:59 UTC
How do I get the backtrace? I can't reply with Kmail for the same problem.
Comment 3 Harri Porten 2004-05-04 18:01:53 UTC
Does Dr Konqi pop up? Or how do you know that Konqueror crashed?

Comment 4 Fabio Congiu 2004-05-05 11:41:44 UTC
Dr Konqi doesn't pop up. When i force quit appear this window: the window with the title "Congratulations for choosing Mandrake Linux! - Konqueror" doesn't respond. This window is part of the application konqueror (PID=1907, host=localhost).
Comment 5 Harri Porten 2004-05-05 12:43:33 UTC
So there's no crash as you stated earlier.

The freezing phenomen only occured for people who hadn't set up their
hostname directly or chose the Auto-Configure Hostname option. Have you
set the latter? An answer to this question is still missing.

Comment 6 Fabio Congiu 2004-05-05 15:48:48 UTC
I set the hostname (lilliput) and i didn't chose the Auto-Configure Hostname option but the problem persist.
