Description Philippe Fremy 2004-04-30 16:21:38 UTC
Version: 1.6.1 (using KDE 3.2.2, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.2.3 20030422 (Gentoo Linux 1.4 3.2.3-r1, propolice)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-gentoo-r7

The problem I have is that I used to have two accounts that I would check automatically with kmail 'interval mail checking'

Now, I have excluded the account from my check mail procedure because this account is not used anymore. However, I did not de-activate the interval mail checking because I thought it would be done automatically. But it is not.

This is tricky because when I check my mail manually, it works as expected but then it will check my mail behind my back.

I think that when the user does not want to check its mail with the global check mail, he also implicitely does not want to check it automatically. Therefore, I suggest to disable automatic mail checking when you disable the exclude from check mail.

I am exactly the opposite, I do not want manual check of specific accounts but I do want the automatic checker to be in place, so it seems better to provide to the user the choice of having both, instead of deselecting a checkbox only for the user to have to enable it again wich causes confusion.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
