Description James Harlow 2004-04-30 13:46:29 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.1)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 gcc version 3.3.2 20031218 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.2-r5, propolice-3.3-7)
OS: Linux

KNode relies on the MODE READER extension to RFC 977, and does not cope well with a server that doesn't understand this command. A conversation goes like this:

S: 201 Server ready, no posting.
C: MODE READER
S: 501 Command not understood.
C: <disconnects>

Expected behaviour from an rfc 977 client would be to carry on the session.

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug.
