Description A.J. Venter 2004-04-28 11:15:28 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.0)
Installed from: Slackware Packages
OS: Linux

When opening a symlink to a pdf on the desktop for the first time, kghostview will display a blank document.

If you open it again, it will display the document the link points to.

The problem only occurs when opening the symlinked PDF from outside kghostview using konqueror, both inside the filemanager, and from the desktop, and only on the first attempt. All subsequent attempts work as expected.

This may therefore be a konqueror bug instead, but all other symlinked documents work fine, suggesting a bug in kghostview instead.

How reproduceable is this?

What do you mean "first time"? Afterwards it works forever or just the current session (ie, if you reboot will it still work?).

What it you try from the command line (kghostview link.pdf)?

thanks,
luis

I cannot reproduce it either now with Okular and Konqueror or Dolphin. A.J., can you?
