Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.2) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux When I go to one of the following pages http://www.eprg.org/cgi-bin/personal.cgi http://www.fastio.com/forms/form1040.html and click the submit-button a dynamically created pdf-file is sent to the browser. Konqueror loads kghostview but instead of showing the pdf, kghostview displays the following error message: Couldn't open file (URI of file) Pdf-files generated by php-scripts seem to work, however: e.g. http://www.devarticles.com/index2.php?option=content&do_pdf=1&id=503&hide_js=1
Both links above work for me. Can you try the following: 1 - save the .pdf file to disk 2 - open it with kghostview 3 - open it with pure ghostscript (typing "gs file.pdf" at the command-line) thank you, luis -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAhRNXGpBAvyRwXdgRAgkbAJ45lTY9xdqdCZvVg6IbzH+V1ZlZ3ACgwzlG F1/RmWVNS8hmXLEjlRhok8o= =AXBL -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
I can confirm this bug, debian unstable with kde 3.2.2. gv, xpdf and kghosview opens file correctly when saved them first to HD.
Once the pdf-file is saved to disk kghostview and gs can open it without any problems.
I have to add that it didn't work in kde 3.2.1 and 3.2.0 (debian/unstable) either.
I can't reproduce that bug using konqueror 3.3.2 - the first link is dead, but the dynamic pdf generation on the second link works fine here.
I tried the first link and it opens fine too (in Okular).
