Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.2) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages I'm using Kopete 0.82 and I must say it's starting to get more stable. Good work! Now that everything seems to be working nicely, perhaps you guys have some time to make some less improtant sugar coating changes; I have some user interface requests. I hope you don't mind if I just fire them away: 1) I hate to say this but the buddy list smiley icons really bother me. I know that they are themeable through KDE, but personally, I would just like an option to hide them all together. I think that the protocol specific icons to the right of the nicks are enough to let me know the status of a buddy. 2) I would like to see an option for changing the background color of the buddy list. Adding a background image would be nice too, but I don't want to ask for too much. 3) When displaying nicks in the non-tree mode. I would like the "Online" "Offline" headers to disappear when I hide my offline contacts. I can't say that they are much use in such a case. Of course, making this change an option would keep everyone happy. I guess that's it. I'm a big fan of Kopete. Great work guys/girls! Marek
i think that your request goes hand in hand with the following request/bug: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93815
Created attachment 11460 [details] Patch to optionally hide left-aligned meta icons My personal preference is also to have an option to hide the meta icon. The patch provides an appearance contact list configuraton check box option: "Hide left-aligned meta icon".
At least 1) has been implemented in 0.70.90 (kde 4.3.0).
1) and 3) are implemented, as the summary is about the icons, this is now possible.
