Description David Franco-Rocha 2004-04-17 07:06:09 UTC
Version: 1.5.4 (using KDE KDE 3.2.0)
Installed from: Slackware Packages
OS: Linux

Leaving word wrap at 78, I wanted the French word l´économie in my text. The editor warapped the text automatically and insisted on putting:

l
´économie

No word wrap mechanism should break up any uninterrupted sequence of characters like that.

KDE-PIM bugs day: confirmed with KMail 1.9.5, KDE 3.5.5.

Happens with the text quoted in the bug report, where the problem word (in ISO-8859-1) starts: 154 264 351 143 = "l" acuteaccent eacute "c" etc. Does not happen with normal ASCII single quote or backquote.

Checked with Qt-4.5.2, still the same.
This is a Qt bug. I have reported it to Qt-Software
