Description Marcin Kasperski 2004-04-07 18:55:51 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.1)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources

Many text editors (including kate) employs convention of naming backup files using names ended with tilde, like myfile.c~

It would be nice if konqueror could be configured so it does not display those files.

Probably the most natural solution would be to treat files ended with tilde as hidden - together with files started with dot - and show/skip them depending on the view hidden files setting.

Alternatively one could enable hiding ~-ended files separately with something like 'Show backup files' option.

A bug 79249 is a bit related to this one (well respected convention of which names are used for backup files would make it more obvious what to hide and why).

Yay. This is a dupe of the oldest konqueror bug/wish still alive. Congratulations :-)
