Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.1) Installed from: RedHat RPMs OS: Linux This may preempt bug 71941 and/or 69469, but is slightly different. The request is for KMail to have multiple status indicators for spelling status. I am assuming that KSpell_AsYouTypeDisablePercentage is a configurable variable, and that the non-technical (read: GUI) user can access it. The "states" of auto spell checking are: 1. Off (i.e. turned off) 2. On, but auto-disabled 3. On, and not caught up 4. On, and caught up (i.e. checked everything you've typed so far) #1 probably does not need to be displayed, the state can be seen on the options menu. #2 is already displayed in the text bar The last two are important because it is definitely possible for the user to hit "send" before spelling is complete. In a case where the checker has auto-disabled and auto-re-enabled, the user has an additional false sense of security that his text has been checked. I believe that this feature may help find some more bugs, as I have seen 'blocking' type behaviours (first misspelling is red, subsequent does not get checked) and extremely slow spellcheckings. Also see my next request for another speller idea.
Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented. Thank you for your understanding.
Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
