Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.1) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages There is a nice encoding config dialog in kcontrol for audiocd io-slave. kaudiocreate should use those settings by default or there should at least be checkbox that makes it doing that. To change encoding settings in kaudiocreator one has to read the lame man. Basicly I am satisfied with --r3mix but for those who want to encode their files differently, a configuration dialog would be cool and making it possible to use the audiocd io-slave settings would be the easiest way for you to get such a configuration dialog.
I was fairly certain this was a dup, but I can't find the bug report. Nonless work is already underway to do this. audiocd was recently converted to a plugin system which allows for kaudiocreator to access those configure dialogs. Once the command line system is imported into that system then kaudiocreator will move over.

Is there anything new on this? It's been over a year now. I just installed SUSE 10.0, so I believe I have all the latest stuff, and I just tried out kaudiocreater. I didn't realize until after I had ripped 5 CDs that there was no setting for the bitrate, and that they were all at 128 (yuk). There should be a way to change the bitrate within kaudiocreator, without having to dig through the menus in kcontrol. They should both set the same config setting, however (that's possible, isn't it?), so that this one setting is universal and can be set in either place. Maybe kaudiocreator could just bring up the dialog from kcontrol.
Yes, there is work going on for this task.
Ping.
Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved.
This project is unfortunately no longer maintained. If a new maintainer wants to step up and take care, the project is archived here: https://invent.kde.org/unmaintained/kaudiocreator You can just clone it in your private namespace on invent.kde.org and if you have started to work on it and fixed/implemented something get it reviewed and the project unarchived. Sorry for the inconveniences.
