Currently, I can add each one individually by right clicking the address in the header and choosing "Add to address book". For a long list, this is tedious. If there was a context menu item "Add all to address book" that would then also ask if you wanted to add these to a new or existing distribution list, even better. This would go a long way in setting Kontact/Kmail apart from other clients. My wife needed this feature last night.
If you apply the patch for bug #47333 (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47333), then you could easily set up a manual filter, which would give you an entry in "apply filter actions" on the context menu. I'm sure you could edit it to provide the "make distribution list". I haven't looked into that though, so I don't know how complex it would be.

While KMail continues to be a great email client, particularly as a part of Kontact, one area it falls behind its competitors (at least Sylpheed and Thunderbird) is in keeping email addresses. Of course, with KMail, addresses are stored in the Address Book (or Contacts section of Kontact). This is a great application as well! Features requested: *) Grab the emails in the To:, CC: and BCC: fields and shove them into the address book (configurable enable/disable) *) Add a function to scan an email folder (IMAP or POP3 both) for email addresses and shove them into the address book (possibly in a new folder to allow for sorting) (a la Sylpheed). Anyway, keep up the great work! I used KMail for a long time, back in the old POP3-or-Bust days before moving to Sylpheed because KMail didn't do IMAP. I tried IMAP during its early IMAP days and after losing all the mail in my inbox inexplicably, I moved back to Sylpheed then on to Mozilla Mail. With the advent of Kontact I have been working again with KMail. It seems to have come a long way! Great work all of you! I still get the feeling that KMail is still a bit POP3-oriented but I see that its IMAP functionality has definitely matured a lot! Stability has as well.
matt - Both of those requests are filled by the patch on bug #47333. I suggest you vote for that one.
