Description Martin Rieder 2004-03-19 22:57:02 UTC
Version: 0.7.6 (using KDE 3.2.0, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 20031218 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.2-r5, propolice-3.3-7)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.22-gentoo-r5

I was trying to enter a message with indented paragraphs. Naturally, I used tabs for this, which should actually be replaced by a number of spaces (I didn't find an option for this)...

The problem is that for each tab I use in a line, I'm allowed to type 7 (or 8?) characters beyond the configured line wrapping column (in my case the default of 78).

The editor always tells me the right column in the bottom right corner, apparently counting a tab as 8 spaces.
Just line wrapping is confused by the tabs.

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug.
