Version: 1.6.1 (using KDE 3.2.1, (testing/unstable)) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 (Debian) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.3-1-k7 Hello, That would be cool if it was possible to drag'n drop an encapsulated message of a mail into a folder. Regards
I agree that this would be a good idea. It gets my vote! If anyone has a work-round for putting encapsulated messages into folders please let me know. Thanks.
I agree with this idea. There should be also the possibility to right-click on the 'Encapsulated message' link and have a 'Copy to folder' menu. Also there should be a way to say 'Copy all encapsulated message to folder', for emails with a lot of encapsulated message. There should be also filter rules and action support for encapsulated messages!

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented. Thank you for your understanding.
Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
This issue is closely related to bug 64371 and is still relevant in KDE 4.9.
While in the meantime it is possible to drag'n drop an encapsulated message into a file system folder (e.g. to Dolphin) it is not possible to drop it into a kmail folder. When releasing the mouse button the "Copy here" menu item appears, but when clicking on it nothing happens (kmail 4:18.12.1+p18.04+git20190109.1907-0 from neon).
I can confirm that the drag & drop code is affected. Dragging a file attached to an email onto a folder opened in Dolphin, it only offers "link" as an option and not copy. This is on opensuse Tumbleweed kontact version 18.12.1-1.1. In opensuse, I added a note to https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1070547
